MEET OUR DOGS

CHAMPION MONDIAL TOO HOT TO HANDLE "PINKY"

Pinky is the first Japanese Spitz we acquired from Sue Howard of Mondial Kennels and is one of our foundation females. She is very well-behaved and only wants to please us.  She is now over 7 years old and enjoying her retirement here.

CHAMPION TOATOA WHO'S YOUR DADDY "MIMI"

Mimi is Pinky's daughter.  We are hoping that she will help give birth to our next generation of quality Japanese Spitz.  She has a beautiful coat, a pretty head, sound movement and a sweet nature.  Mimi is the mother of "Baron" and "Ducky" (see below).  Mimi just delivered a litter in November of 2023.   Please use the form on our "Enquiries" page to express your interest in one of her puppies.

TOATOA BARON OF BEDLAM "BARON"

Baron is Mimi's son.  He is progressing in his show career with seven Challenges, and several Best of Breeds and Group wins.  He has an amazing coat, heavy bone and sound movement.  He is available at stud to approved females.  Please contact us for more details on stud services available.

TOATOA HIS SPITTING IMAGE "ROCKY"

Rocky is the young son of Pinky and the hope of the future.  Since starting his show career in April of 2022, he has won 3 Junior of Group Awards, 5 Best of Breeds Awards and 3 Challenge Certificates towards his Championship,    And although he has tremendous bone and coat, he's just a big softy inside.   Please contact us for more details on stud services available.

TOATOA DUCHESS OF DISORDER "DUCKY"

Ducky is Mimi's daughter and Baron's litter-mate.  She is also just starting her show career and and is already doing well.  At the recent show in Kumeu, she won the Challenge Bitch Award over older females.  She has good substance, a pretty head and sound movement.

MONDIAL I DO I DO I DO "DOODLE"

Doodle is a beautiful young girl from Sue Howard of Mondial Kennels.  She has a beautiful head, lovely stance and extremely clever personality.  She likes to hold her own lead when going for a walk with the "big dogs".  We are hoping she will follow in the footsteps of her mother, Champion Mondial Save The Best For Last "Missy".

CHAMPION TOATOA HOT BLOODED "PIPPA"

Pippa is a beautiful 3 year old female.  She was finished to her championship and is owned by Kylie Crawford of Ktrio Kennels, located in Hawera.  She is full of personality and loves toys, just like her mother, Pinky.

CHAMPION DRAKON TOO THE FUTURE "SPARKY"

Sparky is our second foundation bitch.  She is the mischievous one in the family, always up to something.  During her career as a mother, she produced many beautiful puppies - including Dora (pictured above).  She is now retired from motherhood and living out her days in the country, barking at cattle and chasing the neighborhood ducks.

  • What is the personality of the Japanese Spitz?
They are generally loyal, friendly, and playful. They are active, but not hyper. Although they may be reserved with strangers, they should be friendly and not shy.
  • How often do you have to groom them and what is involved?
Japanese Spitz normally have very low maintenance coats - a weekly brushing is usually all that is involved. Bathing is not necessary, as the dog's coat naturally sheds dirt and mud. Unneutered females will shed their undercoat twice a year, extra brushing is all that's required. Neutered females and males shed their undercoat less often.
